Honoring Dads: Conversations and Celebrations

Fathering a child is more than just bringing a child into this world. Dads are fathers who love, support and protect their children.
This Father’s Day we are celebrating the positive influence of Dads with a focus on meaningful “conversations”.
In an era where social media and electronic media are a prevalent means of communication, the plain spoken conversations seem to
fade into the background. But this doesn’t have to be the case. There are numerous ways for fathers to have meaningful engagement
through conversations with their children. Likewise, children of all ages can create dialogue by simply asking questions.
If you need a little help, here are some useful ideas:20 Questions to Ask Your Father as posted on The Greater Good.
Fathers who value their daughters provide an important aspect of helping to shape a young girl’s self-esteem. Girls need their fathers
as someone whom they look up to, talk to and admire. Dads who are involved in their daughter’s lives set the example, and often are a girl’s
first representation of a male figure in her life.
In an ABC New’s article, Patrick Wood recently posed an important
question: Hey dads, are you positive role models for your daughters?
In a world where texting and other forms of quick communication abound, such short conversations can generate food for
thought and light-hearted laughter. But you’ll be inspired by this video that captures a conversation between a dad and his
daughter revealing candid conversation and appreciation. We discovered this amazing Video on the Huffington Post posted by

is just a human and fallible as you.
